In the language of the Mayan peoples who once inhabited the east coast of the Yucatán peninsula, Sian Ka'an means 'origin of the sky’. Swimming in Green shares a sensorial experience of the sacred site of our planet. When swimming in the sea, we close our eyes and feel the waters; here we feel these impalpable green waters through our open eyes. Green, sky, blue, waves: this installation connects the projection apparatus with solar or wind power to create an energy loop, where sun and wind re-generate, creating a full circle of the experience.
