Rede Globo Network
1984-1988
I started my professional life working as set designer for the Brazilian network Rede Globo on shows such as Viva o Gordo, Fantástico Musical, and Armação Ilimitada.
In the 1980s, Every Sunday, Fantástico showed music videos or acoustic concerts by national and international artists. The performances were often directed by TV Globo professionals on the stage of the Teatro Fênix in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro. In 1986, 'Fantástico' began offering “Nucleus for Musicals,” aimed at showcasing Brazilian talents. That year, artist such as Caetano Veloso, Zeca Pagodinho, and Tim Maia appeared on the segment.

In the early 1980s, Jô Soares' humor boosted the morale and joy of Brazilians as the military regime drew to a close. He commanded an explicit satire through hilarious characters and irresistible catchphrases. More than merely humorous, this series cemented a historical record of authentic heavyweight of Brazilian humor in the best of its form.
Armação Ilimitada was a sports adventure series aimed at the adolescent audience of Rede Globo, aired between 1985 and 1988. In 1985, the series received the Ondas Award from the Spanish Society of Broadcasting, considered the Emmys of Europe.
